We're in Narita airport, about to board our 12 hour flight to Toronto. Not sure if there'll be time for posting again in Toronto. It was such a great trip. Rui was the best!!!!

Thank you Denise and Greg for allowing me to enjoy your trip thru this blog and beautiful pictures. I have truly been amazed by the beauty of the country and laughed alot when it came to the culinary quandry. But really- MCDONALDS?!? ~ kimmi
Hope you have a safe trip home. It was great to share the trip with you on this blog. What a great idea! I even forwarded it to some of my friends who enjoyed reading it!! Can't wait to see more pictures and hear more about it when you get home. Patty
Have a safe trip home. I cannot wait to see you guys and hear about the trip in person. The blog was amazing and I forwarded it to a bunch of people at work who checked in on you daily too. I forwarded the pictures of the Tokoyo Swarovski to the head of my Mkt dept too. Love you both, see you this weekend!! Kim

Glad you had a trip of a lifetime. Hope those little white bags stay in the seat back on this trip... :) Can't wait to see all the pix - when's the slideshow? I'll bring the sake! Paula
I say "and her husband" because Greg is really a fan by marriage only. Everyone thinks that's funny - especially now that we're going all the way to Japan to see the Red Sox. He just really wants to go to Japan. (Plus he's a good husband who tolerates my baseball obsession: "I'll see one game a year. That's it," he says. Last year it was 3 games. This year it'll be 2, maybe 3). And if it wasn't for our Japanese friend Rui (who we met at a Red Sox game...) it wouldn't have occured to either one of us to visit Japan now.
Rui lives in Japan. He was on vacation when we met him at a Yankees game at Fenway Park in September. Our seats were so far back, we were behind the scoreboard! But, Rui sat next to us and there were high-fives between us all day as the Red Sox scored 10 runs and finally beat the Yankees (Their only win of the 6 games they played at the end of last year). Greg gave Rui his email address and we've been in touch ever since.
Skip ahead until about a month ago. Greg got an email from Rui telling him that he had tickets for us if we wanted to come to see the Red Sox in Japan. So, we cashed in Greg's frequent flier miles and off we go to Japan!
